My Journey! Moving from Germany to Kenya

Introduction

I am about to move from Germany to Kenya, and I can’t wait! I know that some of you may be wondering why I would move to Africa when there are so many opportunities in Europe. Well, let me tell you: it is not an easy decision! Moving away from your home country is scary, especially if you are planning on staying away for an uncertain amount of time. However, the opportunity presented itself and it felt like the right thing to do. So here’s my story…

I will move in January from Germany to Kenya to start a business.

Well, the business will be called Dellyna. Dellyna will operate in E-Commerce and will bring a positive change to Kenya. We will focus first on Brand building and delivering products that are rare and optimized. In the following, we want to bring the experience we have to the people and support them with their e-commerce businesses.

There are many challenges associated with starting up a business in Kenya: Getting a Visa, finding the right niche/products and you don't know anyone when you move and many more challenges. But I'm confident that these can all be overcome with hard work and perseverance!

You don’t have to worry about what other people think of you if you are following your own path

You don’t have to worry about what other people think of you if you are following your own path.

It is not wrong to move from Germany to Kenya. It is not wrong to accept a job that pays less than your current salary and a title that doesn't reflect the value of your previous experience. You may not be making as much money, but it's okay because at least you are doing what makes sense for YOU and YOUR family.

Dare yourself! Dare yourself! Dare yourself again! If we all followed our hearts in life, there would be no more wars or violence on earth: Instead, there would be more harmony between humans and animals alike (and maybe even plants).

I am seeking freedom, a new environment, and leaving my comfort zone.

You can’t always be sure that the things you want to do will be possible in a foreign country, but at least it gives you the freedom to try. If I wanted to go on a safari in Kenya right now and not contribute to the local economy, I could do that. In Germany there is no way you could just go on safari without doing some research beforehand or hiring a tour guide.

I also seek new environments, because as much as your comfort zone may feel like home, it can become boring after some time and leave you feeling trapped in your own home with no escape from boredom other than going out somewhere else.

I am excited to share my journey with yall.

Coming from Germany and moving to Kenya has been in progress for over 1 year.

But what does it mean exactly when someone says they want to move from one country to another? How do you get started? What happens next?

Conclusion

I am excited to share my journey with yall.
